The role

About the job

UMAM Group builds and runs a portfolio of services across talent, trust and capability: Utalent, Uverify, the UCAF foundation, the AIDeL design-learning platform and Master Mind. Each one has a story worth telling, and we want someone who can tell it well, every day.

As our Social Media Handler you will run the Group's social presence end to end — from the content calendar to the caption to the reply in the comments. You'll work closely with the leadership team and each venture to turn what we do into content people actually stop for, and you'll be trusted to make the call on what goes out.

Day to day

What you'll do

  • Plan the calendar — build and run a monthly content calendar across LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Facebook and TikTok for the Group and its ventures.
  • Create the content — write copy and produce graphics, short-form video, carousels and stories that fit each platform and stay on-brand.
  • Run the community — respond to comments and messages promptly, flag leads and enquiries to the right team, and keep the tone warm and professional.
  • Grow the audience — find what works, test new formats, and grow followers, reach and engagement month on month.
  • Report what's working — track performance and share a simple monthly report with clear numbers and what you'll change next.
  • Cover launches and events — support venture launches, campaigns, hiring drives and UCAF programmes with timely, live coverage.
  • Keep the brand consistent — apply the UMAM Group identity across every venture while letting each one keep its own voice.
  • Watch the space — keep an eye on trends, competitors and platform changes, and bring ideas before they're obvious.
Must have

What we're looking for

  • At least 2 years managing social media for a brand, business or organisation — with accounts you can show us.
  • Excellent written English: clear, sharp captions with no sloppy errors.
  • Hands-on design and video skills — Canva or Adobe tools, and CapCut or similar for short-form video.
  • Working knowledge of Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Pages and at least one scheduling tool (e.g. Buffer, Hootsuite, Later).
  • Comfortable reading platform analytics and turning them into decisions.
  • Organised and self-driven — you can run a calendar without being chased.
  • Good judgement about what a professional, trust-focused brand should and shouldn't post.
Nice to have

Bonus points

  • Experience with B2B, HR / recruitment, education or non-profit brands.
  • Paid social experience (Meta and LinkedIn ads).
  • Basic photography, or experience shooting content on a phone.
  • A degree or certification in Marketing, Mass Communication or a related field.
What we offer
  • Ownership of the social presence of a growing group of companies.
  • Flexible, hybrid working.
  • Direct access to leadership, and room to grow into a wider marketing role.
  • Competitive pay, discussed at interview based on experience.
